Hey there!
In this video, I discuss a commonly made mistake in breathwork that both teachers and practitioners often fall into – relying too heavily on techniques and methods. While I do teach breathing techniques and methods, I stress the importance of understanding the core principles that underlie them. Often, people find a technique that works for them and stick to it, thinking it’s the best one. However, this can lead to disappointment when the technique stops working or becomes unpleasant over time.
I explain how following techniques and chasing methods can be a downside in breathwork as it can limit your understanding of the practice. Instead, I encourage viewers to take a technique, break it down, and use it to gain a deeper understanding of the core principles of breath. By doing so, you’ll be able to learn how breath works, why techniques work in certain situations and not in others, and gain a deeper understanding of breath physiology and anatomy.
